To all the students and staff at Greenbrier Middle School, “Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving”. Today we visited a Jr. High school and got to observe classes. Will update you later because it is very late (11:12) and I have to get up just before 6 am.
Happy Thanksgiving

Kon nichiwa. The photos of the food made me drool! Mike said I may be able to suggest some places to go, things to do, etc., but it seems like you already went to places I would suggest. There are several beautiful gardens (Zen garden, beautifully trimmed pine trees – which look like big bonsai, etc.) in Japan; I’m not sure if there are ones in Kiryu?
I’m glad you are trying Japanese food such as Okonomiyaki and noodles. Those are my favorites. Speaking of noodles, I hope you try ramen. No, it’s nothing like ramen people here would eat in their college days. It’s very good. If you haven’t, Izakaya (the type of restaurant) may be fun to go with a group for dinner. It’s casual, and each dish is an appetizer size and inexpensive. You can try a lot of different dishes this way. I could keep writing about food suggestion, but I’ll stop here.
I hope you are enjoying your stay.
